How do you do this? 

The best way of achieving this is to take a light aircraft, “Flying safari to the game parks”. Flying avoids many hours of bumping over rough road, and enables you to spend most of your time at your destination rather than in between. From the aircraft, typically at heights of between 2000 and 4000 feet above ground, your view is spectacular with large hills and mountains visible over 100 miles away. Such is the airstrip-to-airstrip philosophy that unnecessary night stops between locations are avoided completely. Each place you stay at has a specific function for you to enjoy and appreciate.

How to reach Arusha: by road or flight, daily from:-
a) Nairobi Airport/City – 08:00am or 02:00pm shuttle road transfer via Namanga boarder  (04h30min or 01:00 hour flight.)
b) Kilimanjaro Airport - ( shuttle road transfer 45 minutes drive or 20 minutes flight.
c) Dar es salaam Airport - ( luxury coach bus - 8 to 9 hours drive or 1-2 hour flight.
d) Moi International Airport Mombasa  - ( 1 hour flight)

 

OHT - 07- Fly In Safari - 2 Nights/3 Days - Serengeti - Lobo Area. 

 

DAY -1 -  Early Breakfast 07:00a.m transfer to Arusha Airport.08:00a.m departure to Serengeti arriving 09:00 a.m. Game drive starts right from the air field and around the Seronera Area. Lunch at Seronera Wildlife Lodge. Afternoon free. 03:30 p.m. depart for game tour visiting the Masai Kopjes. Late evening return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

 

DAY - 2 - Sunrise game drive starts at 06:30 a.m. return to the Lodge for breakfast 08:30 a.m. Check out from your Lodge room proceed to Lobo Lodge with game viewing en-route for lunch. Afternoon tour at the Lobo area. Evening at leisure at the swimming pool. Dinner and overnight Lobo Lodge.

 

DAY - 3 - Breakfast 08:30a.m  proceed to the airfield with game drive for your 11:30 am flight to Arusha arriving at 12:30p.m. in time for lunch. Later proceed with other activities.

OHT -  08 - Fly In Safari - 4 Nights/5 Days - Lake Manyara - Serengeti - Ngorongoro.

 

DAY – 1 – ARUSHA - LAKE MANYARA
After breakfast, leave for Arusha Airport for your flight to Lake Manyara. On arrival meet and transfer to Lake Manyara Serena or similar check in your Hotel and depart for a full day game viewing with picnic lunch. Lake Manyara a birdwatcher’s paradise. Marvel at the variety of species, spoonbill, teal, pelican, kingfisher, hornbill and cormorant. In the tall trees, forest monkeys leap from branch to branch on the slope of the Great Rift escarpment, elephants stand in the shade of the baobab; and in the acacia woodland, lions lie draped along the branches of the umbrella trees Dinner and overnight.

 

DAY – 2 - LAKE MANYARA /SERENGETI
After breakfast depart to Lake Manyara Airstrip for your flight to Serengeti National Park. On arrival meet and transfer to Seronera Wildlife Lodge or Serengeti Serena Lodge with game viewing en-route. Short break at the Lounge with snacks while waiting for your lunch. Afternoon leave for game viewing to explore the Serengeti plains searching for the predator, Lion, Cheetah and possibly the secret Leopard.  Late evening return to the Lodge for dinner and overnight. 

 

DAY – 3 – SERENGETI - NGORONGORO.

After early breakfast, depart for Ngorongoro crater with game drive en-route, where you descend 2000ft for a fascinating game drive on the crater floor. In a landscape reminiscent of the volcanic upheavals of the Rift Valley, the world's largest unbroken, un flooded volcanic caldera (collapsed cone of a volcano) covers 300 sq km In this restricted space, exceptional climatic conditions have favoured an explosion of animal life. Some 20,000 great mammals are permanently in residence, as there are permanent water springs here there is no need to migrate.  Picnic lunch will be served. Enjoy game viewing at the crater until late in the afternoon when you ascend to Ngorongoro Serena Lodge or similar for dinner and overnight.

 

DAY – 4 - NGORONGORO – SERENGETI.

After breakfast, leave Ngorongoro and proceed to Serengeti via Olduvai Gorge, revered by anthropologists worldwide since 1959, when Mary Leakey discovered an early human skull reputed to be 1.7 million years old. Continue to Serengeti visiting Ndutu Soda lake. On the seemingly endless and almost treeless plains with game viewing en-route in search of the big five Lion, Leopard, Buffalo, Elephant and Rhino. Picnic lunch is served.  Afternoon proceed leisurely to Seronera with game viewing en-route for dinner and overnight.  

 

DAY - 5- SERENGETI – BALLOON - ARUSHA.

Early breakfast drive to Seronera Balloon launch site. The flight will take approximately one hour.  Champagne full English breakfast will be served in the bush.  Drive back to Seronera balloon office for flight Certificates and onwards to your lodge.  Depart to Seronera Airstrip for your flight to Arusha arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon visit Heritage center for purchases of carvings and precious stones. Evening at leisure at the swimming pool. Late evening transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your Home bound flight.

OHT - 09 - Fly In Safari - 4 Nights/ 5 Days - SELOUS GAME RESERVE.

 

DAY - 1 - After breakfast spend the day at leisure in your Hotel till lunch time. Afternoon transfer to the airport for your flight to Selous Game Reserve. You will be met at the air strip and transferred to your Camp for dinner and overnight.

 

DAY - 2 - WALKING SAFARI.

After breakfast depart for "Walking safari" exploring the vast savannah plains, returning to the Camp for lunch. Afternoon leave for game viewing in search of the giant elephants till late in the evening, returning to the Camp for dinner and overnight.

 

DAY - 3 - Early breakfast depart on a full day game viewing in the mighty Selous Game Reserve in search of the giant elephants. A packed lunch will be served by the hot springs where the afternoon will spent at leisure. Evening return to the Camp with game viewing en-route for dinner and overnight.

 

DAY - 4 - BOAT SAFARI.

After breakfast depart on a "Boat Safari" exploring the Crocodile infested Rufiji River returning to the Camp for lunch. Afternoon at leisure at the lounge or campfire, dinner and overnight.

 

DAY - 5 - SELOUS - DAR.

After breakfast transfer to the air strip for your return flight to Dar es Salaam. You will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel for lunch. Afternoon at leisure at the swimming pool. Late evening transfer to the airport for your home bound flight.
